Source
The Acts of Andrew in their original form are believed to have been composed in the 2nd or 3rd century. However, the text survives only in various fragmentary recensions (and translations/reworkings in other languages), from which it has to be pieced together. Via a now lost Latin version, it was the source of Gregory of Tours' Miracles of the Blessed Apostle Andrew (E07877). For an accessible account of the different versions, see Elliott 1993, 231-239.Bibliography
