Three conjoining pieces of a rectangular limestone block, found at the end of the 19th century near the basilica of Salsa in Tipasa. The block (whose current location is unknown) was 56 cm high and 42 cm thick. The original length is unknown; it may have been about 190 cm. The letters are regular and 14 cm high.Discussion
The inscription has a monumental form, and may well have been over the door of a small building neighbouring the basilica of Salsa.Given its fragmentary state, various reconstructions of the text have been attempted. However, as Y. Duval points out, the only sure conclusions are the expression of dedication in the first line, and the name of Salsa in the third.
