Source

A graffito written on a white marble wall panel, found in the so-called 'Domitian Street'. H. 0.55 m; W. 1.15 m; Th. 0.12 m.

Discussion

The graffito is a request for help addressed to Christ and *John the Evangelist (termed, as often in Ephesos, 'the Theologian'). The editors suggested a reconstruction based on the 'Our Father' prayer. For a similar invocation based on the prayer 'Our Father', see E05037.

Dating: Graffiti with such requests are usually dated to the late 5th or subsequent centuries.
