Greek invocation of *Michael (the Archangel, S00181), written on a fragmentary slab with a carved Latin cross. Found near Amorion (Phrygia, west central Asia Minor). Probably late antique.

Inscription A is written in the centre of the slab, within a frame, and is divided in two parts by the lower vertical bar of a large carved cross. Inscription B runs around the edges of the slab.

A: ὁ μέγας ἀρχ(άγγελος)
Μηχ(αήλ)

B: Κ(ύρι)ε βοίθη τὸν + δοῦλον [- - -]

A: 'The great archangel Michael.'
B: 'Lord help the + servant […..]!'

A marble slab, decorated with a carved Latin cross. Broken above. Found in a private house in Emirli (= Emirdağ?), near Amorion (Phrygia, central Asia Minor). H. 0.19 m; W. 0.165 m; Th. 0.0075 m; letter height 0.0075-0.0225 m. Inscription A is written in the centre and divided into two parts by the lower vertical bar of the cross. Inscription B runs around the slab.
