Discussion

The identity of this Ammonios, the martyr, is uncertain. He might be the Ammonios mentioned by Eusebius (E00318) and in the 411 Syriac Martyrology (E01548) as a companion martyr of the much better attested *Phaustos (presbyter and martyr of Alexandria, S00299).
