Discussion

The inscription is an invocation of Michael the Archangel. Klaus Hallof, the editor of Inscriptiones Graecae XII 6,2, placed it among 'Byzantine' inscriptions, but without a photograph, we cannot determine, whether it is of late antique or of middle Byzantine date.

Described as an 'epitaph' by the editors of
Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum.
