In 1991 Michele Piccirillo published a short note on a stone architrave/lintel with a Greek inscription commemorating the construction of a martyr shrine (martyrion) during the episcopacy of an unspecified bishop: '[el Mu'ezzeq]: In quest'ultima località è stato scoperto un architrave con iscrizioni dove resta traccia del nome di un vescovo al tempo del quale furono costruiti un martyrion ed un cimitero.' The stone was found at al-Mu'azzaq, close to the presumed site of ancient Augustopolis (modern 'Udruh or Tafila) in the Roman province of Palaestina III. As far as we know the inscription is still unpublished, or, possibly, it is identical with our E02599.
