E03317Palladius of Helenopolis, in his Lausiac History (14), recounts the story of the brothers *Paesios and Esaias (monks of Nitria, S01447), one a solitary ascetic, the other a monastic founder, and the dispute of their disciples as to which one of them was a greater saint. Pambo of Nitria (Lower Egypt) has a vision of both of them in heaven. Written in Greek at Aspuna or Ankyra (both Galatia, central Asia Minor), 419/420.
