These fragments of papyrus (55/65 x 115/35 mm) are now Basel, Universitätsbibliothek, Pap. 1 B-C, verso. Tjäder's edition only tentatively locates the production of the text to northern Italy. c. 700; the fragments came to Basel in the sixteenth century.For the earlier text written on the other side of this papyrus, see E08423.
Discussion
The type of institution to which this inventory originally belonged is unknown. It appears to be a list of precious textiles.Bibliography
