E00280Eusebius of Caesarea, in his Ecclesiastical History (7.15-17), recounts the martyrdom of a rich military officer, *Marinos (soldier and martyr of Caesarea Maritima, S00157); the Christian senator Astyrios (also S00157), locally known as a miracle worker himself, buried the martyr. Written in Greek in Palestine, 311/325.
E05738John Malalas, in his Chronographia (18.49), reports that in 529 the relics of *Marinos (martyr of Gindarus, S02160) were miraculously found in Gindarus (Syria) and buried at the shrine of *Ioulianos (martyr of Cilicia buried at Antioch, S00305) at Antioch. Written in Greek at Antioch (Syria) or Constantinople, in the mid-6th c.
