E02716Gregory of Tours, in his Glory of the Confessors (83), recounts how Theodorus, bishop of Saint-Lizier-en-Couserans (south-west Gaul), built a church over the tomb of *Valerius (first bishop of Couserans, S01297) and discovered his uncorrupted body; Theodorus took laurel leaves from under the body to cure people, and pieces of the saint's clothing as relics; all in the mid-6th c.. Written in Latin in Tours (north-west Gaul), 587/588.
