E03508The Lives of the Fathers of Mérida (4.7), recounts how Bishop Fidelis, while still alive, was seen to stand and sing in the choir of the church with the host of saints; once a boy sees him at night in a procession of saints from the church of *Faustus (martyr of Córdoba, S00497) to the church of *Lucretia (martyr probably of Mérida, S01457), both outside the city, and then into Mérida. Written in Latin in Mérida (south-west Hispania), 633/680.
E03511The Lives of the Fathers of Mérida (4.9) tells a story about a man who went at night to the church of *Mary (Mother of Christ, S00033) in Mérida and witnessed there the Lauds celebrated by the saints; after the office, he saw them go to the adjoining basilica of *John, the Baptist (S00020). He also sees demonic figures plotting to hurt *Fidelis (bishop of Mérida, fl. 550/560, S03083). Written in Latin in Mérida (south-west Hispania), 633/680.
